Message: Good morning, I am contacting you to ask you to consider a possible future shed donation for a local non-profit, Skywatch Bird Rescue. We are a non-profit organization rehabilitating several thousand sick and injured birds a year in Castle Hayne. From the smallest hummingbird to great big Pelicans, no bird in need is ever turned away. Furthermore we provide lifelong safe sanctuary to birds removed by authorities in hoarding/abuse/abandonment situations and were the vendor for animal control and the Sherrif’s department for all domestic and exotic bird related matters (like cockfighting busts, and seizures from illegal trade). Birds receive medical care, food, safe housing and rehabilitation until they can be returned back to the wild for a chance to soar once more, or a chance at retirement at our sanctuary. The city, state and government do not fund our activity in any way. Our service is federally regulated but offered free to the public: we rely entirely on public support and never charge anyone who seeks our help. We are desperately in need of a shed (8 x 10 or 6 x 10 or 6 x 8). Any size shed will be extremely helpful to us to store our grain and straw and other supplies needed for our daily care of the many animals in need. Such a donation would be tax deductible, as we are a 501.3c. Furthermore, we would be proud to display your business name on the shed along with an acknowledgement of your contribution, which would be seen by our many public visitors throughout the year. If at any point you could consider such a donation, whether it be maybe Christmas time, or tax time (as a write off) or at any point in the future, please keep us in mind.
